The service was average, a bit slow and not clear whether someone came to the table or we had to order at the counter. We both felt the dishes could have been served a little hotter. (Sausage, mushroom, egg, beans, hash brown, toast). His bacon was overcooked but otherwise the quality of ingredients and range of elements offered was good.

My partner and I had a Full English Breakfast and Smashed Avocado on Sourdough toast with poached eggs respectively. Heating the plates would have helped a lot. So, whilst there were positives, overall the food and coffee was not warm enough. One order was wrong, the egg was missing, this was corrected, but unfortunately the rest of the food cooled down on the cold plate while waiting for the egg! We then asked for the meal to be heated up which was done, but on returning the meal the waitress slammed the plate down! Both traditional English meals were not hot enough and the plates were cold which meant the food cooled down quicker. Unfortunately the eggs were undercooked for one of the meals. egg and slice of bacon was given to replace the sausage, tomatoes and mushrooms, which was appreciated. Two of us had the traditional English breakfast, but with variations. One of us had the Shakshuka, this was tasty and the poached eggs were cooked perfectly.

Coffee was good but the flat white was not hot enough. Next time you need a gift, dress, hair accessory, school spirit wear, or something special for your home, be sure to check out Ivy Lane. And the shop will gift-wrap your items for free, too! Ivy Lane even has products with local high school mascots on them. The good news is that my son will be playing at the same field for several weeks, so I will be going back! Nonetheless, the store was packed for a Sunday afternoon, and I had to get on my way back to the lacrosse fields. Of course, no Ohio State - but I’ve given up looking! I have been in many boutique style stores, but the selection of collegiate gear at Ivy Lane was probably the most I have ever seen. But there are many other brands that are a little less common that you will find there as well, which makes for a very substantial selection. Ivy Lane has many of the favorite brands you’ll find at any boutique, like Lolita, Vera Bradley and Lily Pulitzer. Opened in May 2013, owner Julie Turner wanted to bring a gift shop and clothing boutique to her neighborhood, so that you can always be ready! I was almost overwhelmed with the amount of gifts, jewelry, collegiate gear, home décor and clothing in the store. It’s in a standard Publix-style shopping center, and since most of our favorite Scoop-worthy stores are usually a little off the beaten path, I have to admit I was skeptical. Oddly, I had already been following the boutique on Facebook through a mutual friend, so I was so pleased when I happened to stumble upon it. But don’t be too impressed by my use of that word - “explore” in my world most often translates to: “find a cool new store to shop at.” So this past weekend when I had to arrive an hour early for my son’s lacrosse game, instead of sitting in the heat for that hour of pregame practice, I got back in my car to go explore the area. Part of the reason Scoop OTP was started was due to my need to explore.
